OUR RELICS
The Church teaches that the prayer through the intercession of the saints is commendable and effective practice of the faithful. Relics of the saints represent their presence in the respective parish community. The glass cabinet in which the relics are exposed was recently installed in our church to let our parishioners pray through the saints' intercession.
Each Saint has a link (below short description) to a page with an extended biography
Relic of True Cross
The feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross commemorates the alleged discovery of the True Cross by Saint Helena, the mother of Emperor Constantine in 326 AD. The cross was discovered near the site of Christ's crucifixion. It was divided into three parts, with one part remaining in Jerusalem, one part sent to Rome, and a third part sent to Constantinople. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was also dedicated on this day in 335.
